Transcend Homes is a family-run building business specialising in extensions and renovations across Geelong and surrounding areas.
Extensions and renovations are rarely just about adding space. They’re about understanding the existing home, what isn’t working, and finding the right way to improve it.
With decades of building experience behind us, we understand that working with an existing home is very different to building from scratch. There are existing structures to work with, problems to solve, budgets to balance and plenty of decisions to make along the way.
That’s why we like to be involved early.
We work with our clients from the first ideas through design, planning and construction, bringing building knowledge and cost awareness into the process from the beginning. It means we can work through the possibilities together, identify potential challenges early and make informed decisions before too much is committed on paper.
And if you already have plans, that’s fine too. We’re equally comfortable stepping in at the construction stage and working with your existing design team to bring the project to life.
Our approach is straightforward: understand the home, understand what you’re trying to achieve, and find the right way to bring the two together.
We've experienced building from both sides.
We've been the builder, but we've also been the client. We know what it's like to make decisions about your own home, your own money and something you've probably been thinking about for a long time.

We keep the number of projects we undertake at any one time manageable, so our clients have direct access to the people responsible for their project. Rob and Lisa remain closely involved.

There's something special about taking a home that already has a story and helping it move into its next stage.
We genuinely enjoy extensions and renovations.
Every home is different, and there’s always something to work out. You’re dealing with what’s already there, figuring out how to make the new work with the old, and solving things that you often don’t come across until you get into it. We like that challenge. It keeps the work interesting.
We also get to know our clients really well. These aren’t projects where we turn up, build something and disappear. There are lots of conversations and decisions along the way, and you end up working pretty closely together.
For us, that’s a big part of why we enjoy this kind of building. We like the problem solving, we like the people, and we like seeing an existing home become something better.

Through our Design & Construct service, we work alongside trusted designers, engineers and consultants to consider design, construction and cost together.
A designer brings an understanding of space, proportion, light and possibility. An engineer considers structure. As builders, we bring practical construction experience, buildability and cost context to the conversation.

Early involvement allows us to identify potential challenges, explore alternatives and provide realistic cost guidance while the design can still evolve.
